Who is this article for?
  • Account owners or team members with the account & settings permission to manage subscriptions to Square services and add-ons. Set permissions in Square Dashboard.
  • About add-ons

Square add-ons are tools designed for your business needs. From managing teams to marketing solutions, you can add tools to your point of sale to create an integrated solution.

Many of the products and features highlighted in the Add-on Library are free — others require a subscription fee. You can view your add-on status and pricing through your subscriptions in your Square Dashboard.

    Before you begin

You can access your add-ons from your point of sale app. You can also customize your add-ons from your modes on Square Dashboard. Learn how to create and assign modes.

Certain add-ons may require you to subscribe through your Square Dashboard before adding to your point of sale. When removing an add-on, check if the add-on is connected to a paid subscription. If so, you need to unsubscribe first before removing the add-on. Once the subscription ends, you can remove the add-on from your point of sale app. Learn how to manage Square subscriptions.
